Hello,

For those who are curious about how I work, here are some screenshots from the progress steps of the Moonlit Dream, found over here -> [link]

As you see, in this painting I started with thick brush strokes here and there (sharp-edged round brush) just to catch the feeling and mood of the concept, and then I kept on refining things and adding details to the points of interest, until I come up with a satisfying result. In the end I decided to place some oranges for contrast, in order to break the monotonousness and make the image look a bit more interesting. It's like the cherry on top of the cake :D

I hope it will help somehow... :)
Cheers!

Oh. I think I understand how you did it. At first I thought you used some stocks and tweaked it but then I read your mess. saying you made it from scratch. So for that I thought you probably drew it on a paper and then scanned it and painted it. But now I know that you just started it with simple brushing and tweaked it to make it awesome.

nice. I will definitely give it a try. :)

Thank you.

Yeap, the orange really makes it pop! How long does a piece normally take you?
